DIY #1: Create Your Style with Swarovski Elements - Quilting with Sarah's Loft

Hey Ho! Spent my Sunday afternoon at a Nuffnang and Swarovski event, Create Your Style with Swarovski Elements - Quilting with Sarah's Loft. The event was held at the Sculpture Square, a yellow little house along Middle Road. I thought the place was awesome for workshops, or even small parties and celebrations!

This is my first blogger event and I was excited cos firstly, I joined for fun, just trying my luck to see if I would get selected. And secondly, I was rather interested in learning how to make stuff using swarovski crystals (I love bling!).

Sat somewhere in front and I thought Sarah was one of the participant blogger as well =X (sorry Sarah!  you looked different online!) Super friendly person without any airs and I could just chat with her just like I would with anyone else.

Sarah introducing herself.
my work kit

There's a teacher to go through step by step with us on quilting... more like sewing.. the pouch. Don't say already, I'm not in love with my fabric at all... haha.

halfway through the workshop and all of us were still sewing! pause for buffet lunch first.

Elle and I hard at work.

me, elle, sarah

and here is my pouch!

embellished with swarovski crystals! Yeah, mine's mad ugly. But how to bling when your fabric is like that?! I give up.

a picture with a new found friend, Elle!

one with celebrity blogger, Sarah!

and a last one with an old Fairsian friend, Chris! Good to see you in a place with so many unfamiliar faces!

I had a great time learning how to sew (really, we hand-stitched the whole pouch!) and how to use the iron to stick the crystals onto the fabric.

Looking forward for more DIY stuff with Swarovski crystals soon!

OOTD #2: Hanoi trip!

Had a year-end getaway to Vietnam with my boy, and also to commemorate our 2nd year anniversary together! During the 8-days trip, we visited Hanoi, Danang, Hoi an and Hue. Hanoi was really cold. Said to be about 15 - 18 degree celcius, but I reckon it was much colder! Danang's weather was the best, aircon temperate with a slight breeze, while Hoi an and Hue were quite hot. Amazed at the vast change in the temperature as we travelled!

Compile some of my OOTD with you guys as well. Yeah, I mixed and matched and wore some outfits twice. Don't judge me, I only had 10kg handcarry luggage to bring with meeee.

Take a look at my stash to see what I got!

STASH #28: H&M christmas sale

For all H&M fans out there, you should already know that a new store has opened at ION, and it's a BIG store in fact!

Christmas is the season for sales, and H&M had a huge one, with mostly winter wear on sale. I was working on ALL the weekends this month and could only catch end christmas/boxing day sales on a wednesday evening =( Talking about that, I actually went winter wear shopping with my friends in late nov at H&M, and I saw many of the sweaters on half price now! So learning point, don't buy winter wear just before the winter season! Buy them now for next year!!

Winter wear sweaters and jackets were mostly on 40 - 50% off. Sweaters were going for $20-30 only! There's a wide variety and I was spoilt for choice on what sweaters to get for my Hanoi trip in 2 days time. Picked a slight glittery nude slouchy sweater in the end.

Got myself 2 new belts as well!
maroon leather belt with gold buckle $10

gold cat creature belt $5
